The Med in South Salt Lake has been cooking up a hefty array of Mediterranean dishes for longer than I can remember. That longevity is surely testament to an affordable menu, friendly team and tasty cuisine. Y

ou’ll find everything from classic staples like beef and chicken kabobs (number 2 combo pictured above with rice and pita) through to dishes that you might not expect too such as Thai green curry and Italian pasta.

The interior of the med feature banquette seating down the East side of the restaurant, with plenty of large tables through the main space, with lots of room for groups.

You’ll find located on the South side of 3300 South. The restaurant has ample parking on both the West and East side of the building. Enter through the East side door, for both seating by a waitress or togo orders.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC – Utah’s biggest and oldest online food magazine; I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, as well as helping to consult on national TV shows.

I’m a multiple-award-winning journalist and have covered the Utah dining scene for the better part of seventeen years. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration, and the use of big words I don’t understand.
