Sushi Groove in Sugar House is one of our favorite places for sushi in all of Utah. The funky hangout also has something fresh and innovative, just check out their daily specials board behind the sushi counter.
At nights, live music and crowds are common, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a quieter vibe. Worthy of note are $2.50 Tuesdays where any nigiri sushi (two pieces) order is a mere $2.50, its one of the best bargains in SLC.

Sushi Groove Specials menu
As we said, one of the funnest things at Sushi Groove is the ever changing specials board. Found behind the counter, the menu is updated regularly and always features eye popping rolls, appetizers, desserts and drinks. Here are some examples of the specials board to know what to expect, but you’ll need to visit Sushi Groove in person to see what’s on at any given time:

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC – Utah’s biggest and oldest online food magazine; I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, as well as helping to consult on national TV shows.
I’m a multiple-award-winning journalist and have covered the Utah dining scene for the better part of seventeen years. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration, and the use of big words I don’t understand.
I started SLC Menu as somewhere to house all the hard-to-find menus I pick up during my food writing travels. Through the archives you can find menus from the last fifteen years of the Salt Lake City dining scene.
